Our city’s safety is a growing concern for all. As we continue to grow, problems like homelessness, traffic hazards, drugs, and crime are also increasing, threatening our residents’ sense of safety, endangering our youth, and decreasing the chance of further opportunities coming to Adelanto. 

I’ll work with the rest of the City Council to improve on our current public safety measures. We’ll work on how we can increase the number of police officers on our streets, improve traffic control, and update equipment for our firefighters. Adelanto is growing, and it’s public safety should reflect that growth through better and improved measures. 

It’s also important that our residents get to know our first responders. Back in the day, we used to know who the officers who protect and serve us actually are, but that sense of community connection has been lost. I want to bring that back by inviting our officers to youth events, local sports games, and city meetings where our residents can speak with our first responders.
