The future of our city is in the hands of our youth— so it’s time for us to invest in our future by focusing on what our young people need to thrive. As a youth football & soccer coach, I have realized that our youth need more from their city. They are full of energy and passion for the future of Adelanto, but they lack the types of fun activities they could be participating in and the connections with our leaders that would help to give them a true understanding of how to improve their city.

As your next council member, I want to create and host more youth and community events that feature food, live performances, sports, and much more. I want to make it so that these events are either free or low-cost, so no residents —from our youth to our seniors— feel like they can’t attend. The city needs to work harder to give our youth more positive outlets rather than letting them get into trouble. Not only would these events keep kids out of trouble, but they would also bring the entire city together for a fun time for all.

Events like these have been proven to reduce crime rates, strengthen community bonds, and decrease violence. My goal is to make these events not only a success but a regular occurrence in Adelanto.
