A strong economy is the cornerstone of a thriving city. It is what allows a city to expand and prosper. With a large segment of Adelanto’s population living below the poverty line, we must focus on finding ways to grow our economy and provide jobs for people who need them. That’s why I want to focus on growing our economy in tangible ways that will support our community and help Adelanto grow in the future.

Adelanto has a proud tradition of working together to help our city grow. Over the years, we have attracted new businesses by keeping taxes low and offering affordable housing that supports economic growth. I will continue to work with our city staff, developers, and investors to attract new businesses to Adelanto and continue encouraging existing businesses to expand. You’ll see more sales revenue and infrastructure improvements because of these new businesses, which will be supportive of our community.

I want Adelanto to be known as a city with a strong economy that is friendly to both businesses and residents.

As a planning commissioner, I’ve seen how cannabis operations have benefitted our city. I believe the cannabis industry, when properly managed and regulated, can be a major boom for our city. It is already providing us with tax revenue that we can use toward improving infrastructure and other city services. Because I want to see Adelanto succeed and grow, I will continue to support cannabis operations in our city.

I believe that Adelanto’s potential is limitless and that it can become a city of choice for residents and businesses alike. But to get there, we need to focus on building our economy from the inside out. There’s no better time than now!
